Hey Blazy Fam,
Running into some issues with your Secret Box Battery flashing red? Don’t worry, we've got you covered! Here’s a quick guide to help you understand what might be going on and how to fix it.
Understanding the Red Flashing Light
If your Secret Box Battery is flashing red, it’s trying to tell you something important. Here are the common reasons:
-
Low Voltage Alert
- When the voltage drops below 3.2V, the red LED will flash 10 times and the device will enter standby mode. Time to charge up!
-
Short Circuit Protection/Resistance Overload
- If there’s a short circuit or resistance overload, the red light will flash 3 times. Check your connections and ensure everything is screwed in correctly.
-
Pull Timeout
- Pulling for more than 10 seconds continuously? The red lights will flash 4 times, and the device will enter standby mode. Give it a break and try again.
-
Charging Issues
- Using the wrong charger? If the charging voltage is outside the normal range (5V/0.5A), the device will enter protection mode, and the indicator light will shut off. Make sure you’re using a 5V/0.5A charger.
What is Voltage?
Voltage is like the pressure that pushes electricity through the wires in your device. Think of it like water pressure in a hose – higher voltage means more power. For your Secret Box Battery, different voltage settings can affect how much vapor is produced and how your device performs.
Steps to Fix the Issue
-
Check the Battery Level
- Press the button to light up the LCD screen and check the real-time battery level. If it’s low, plug it in using the correct charger.
-
Ensure Proper Connections
- Make sure your cartridge is properly connected. No loose ends!
-
Adjust the Voltage Settings
- Press the button to cycle through the voltage settings and find the best one for your cartridge.
-
Charge Correctly
- Use a 5V/0.5A charger. When charging, the red light indicates it’s charging, and the green light means it’s fully charged. Avoid using it while charging and do not leave plugged in for more than 2 hours.
